This privacy policy complies with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (DSG) and applies to all personal data processed through EdgeTools services.
Information We Collect
1. Personal Information
When you contact us or use our services, we may collect:
- • Email address
- • Name (if provided voluntarily)
- • Communication content and correspondence
- • Technical support information and inquiries
2. Payment Information
Payment processing is handled by third-party providers:
- • LemonSqueezy: Payment processor (name, email, billing address, payment method)
- • Stripe: Backend payment infrastructure (transaction data)
- • EdgeTools does not directly store credit card information
- • Payment data is retained for 7 years in compliance with Swiss tax law
3. Technical Information
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may automatically process certain technical data for security purposes, such as IP addresses and request metadata.
4. Web Analytics
With your consent, we use Umami Analytics, an open-source, privacy-friendly analytics tool that we self-host on our own infrastructure in Switzerland. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track individual visitors across websites. All data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you.
Umami collects only: page URLs, referrer source, browser type, operating system, device type, and country (derived from IP, which is discarded immediately and never stored). No IP addresses, no fingerprints, no persistent identifiers are retained. The analytics data never leaves our infrastructure.
Analytics data is only loaded after you give explicit consent via the banner shown on your first visit. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.

5. Cookies
We only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation of the website:
- • Authentication Cookies: Required to keep you logged in (Supabase session)
- • Security Cookies: Set by Cloudflare for bot protection and platform security
Our analytics tool (Umami) does not set any cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or any form of third-party tracking. Your analytics consent preference is stored in your browser's local storage (not as a cookie) and can be cleared at any time.
Third-Party Service Providers
EdgeTools uses the following third-party service providers who may process your personal data:
- • LemonSqueezy: Payment processing and e-commerce platform (may transfer data to USA and other countries)
- • Stripe: Backend payment infrastructure (may transfer data to USA)
- • Cloudflare: Hosting, CDN, and website infrastructure (global network)
- • Umami Analytics: Open-source, privacy-friendly web analytics, self-hosted on EdgeTools infrastructure in Switzerland. No personal data collected, no cookies (documentation)
- • TradingView: Third-party platform for indicator usage (independent data processing by TradingView)
All third-party providers are selected based on their data protection standards and are contractually obligated to protect your data in accordance with applicable laws.
How We Use Your Information
Legal Basis and Purposes: We process personal data for the following purposes:
- • Contract Performance: Provide and deliver services you purchase
- • Customer Support: Respond to inquiries and technical support requests

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies will prevent you from logging in to the dashboard but will not affect the public content of this website.

After retention periods expire, personal data is securely deleted or anonymized, except where longer retention is required by law or necessary for legal claims.
